I started with a B.S. in computer engineering, then took an M.S. in life science and a Ph.D. in molecular medicine. Since 2004 I have worked with genome, transcriptome, single-cell, and clinical multi-omics data for over twenty years, and the analysis carries through to reports and services that hospitals and the business actually use. Today I work at Cytogen as Chief Researcher and team lead in the Diagnosis Division.

Current work

  • Built a model that assists cell image review, deployed it in house, and documented where it applies and where it does not.
  • Designed, built, and now run four internal data tools together with the portal that ties them together.
  • Preparing an oral presentation for GIW ISCB-Asia in November 2026, on a reliability map for per-gene multiome RNA velocity parameters in single-cell kinetics.

What this blog covers

How the tools and pipelines I build actually came together, how far models and benchmarks hold up once they are checked, what designing AI agent harnesses has taught me, and what I find when I re-measure the numbers a paper reports. Most posts go up in both Korean and English.
